The problem HireScore solves Every time a candidate changes jobs, they go through background verification again: the same documents, the same forms, the same wait. Employers pay for reports they use once. HireScore turns that repeated, one-off process into a reusable, candidate-owned record.
What a HireScore shows - A verification ring that fills as checks are completed and cleared. - A percentage verified, shown inside the ring. - A tier — Elite, Trusted, Verified or In progress. - Four dots for the four checks: identity, employment, education and integrity. - A hire-ready status — Hire Ready, Review Needed or Not Cleared. - A last-updated date, because verification goes stale.
Tiers and statuses | Tier | What it means | | Elite | All four checks complete and clear | | Trusted | Three checks complete and clear | | Verified | Two checks complete and clear | | In progress | Verification started, not yet complete |
| Status | What it tells an employer |
|---|---|
| Hire Ready | No flags found in completed checks |
| Review Needed | A flag or pending check needs a closer look |
| Not Cleared | A serious discrepancy was found |
How it differs from a background verification report A traditional BGV report is a static document produced for one employer and rarely reused. A HireScore is owned by the candidate, kept current, and shared with any employer by link. The full report sits behind it for employers who need the detail — see the sample report.
What HireScore is not - Not a credit score. It has nothing to do with lending, and it does not show a number to rank people. - Not a talent ranking. It does not assess skills or performance. - Not a hiring decision. Employers decide whom to hire. HireScore shows what is verified.
Who controls the data The candidate gives consent, chooses who sees the full report, can request corrections, and can dispute a result. Employers see the status by link and can unlock the detailed report where the candidate has agreed. Details are on the how it works page.
Launch timing HireScore is in development and launches in January 2027. You can join the waitlist on the homepage.
Frequently asked questions
Is HireScore a credit score like CIBIL?
No. HireScore is about verified background information for hiring, not creditworthiness, and it does not show a numerical score. It shows a ring, a tier and a status.
Does Hire Ready mean the candidate should be hired?
No. Hire Ready means that the completed checks found no flags. Whether to hire is always the employer’s decision.
How long is a HireScore valid?
HireScore is designed with a six-month validity window and a visible last-updated date, so employers can see how current the verification is.
When does HireScore launch?
